A most interesting umbrella handle in the form of an Easter egg sculptured of very fine dark green jade. On the bottom it is mounted in gold gilt silver which is exquisitely chased and enameled in translucent mauve.
It is a good example of the work of the outstanding master “Carl Faberge [sic]”, who was so often referred to as the “Cellini of the nineteenth century.”
