Most unusual and rare miniature ivory Easter egg by “Carl Fabergé”, the celebrated court jeweler to the Czar of Russia.
It opens on a hinged cover to disclose the surprise feature within, - a pale nephrite egg set in the white satin lining. It is an ingenious creation which is typical of “Fabergé’s” work.
From the Alexander Palace at Tsarskoye Selo.
