A most unusual egg shaped, gold mounted nephrite bookmark, encrusted with diamonds and rubies in the form of the initials “XB”, which is an abbreviation for the Russian “Christ is Risen”.
A good example of the work of the celebrated court jeweler “Carl Fabergé”, showing his rare ability to combine beauty with utility. In the original Faberge [sic] case.
