Transcription: [double-headed eagle] The Schaffer Collection of Russian Imperial Art Treasures ROCKEFELLER CENTER NEW YORK #2353 Very unusual gold pendant in the form of a lozenge, by BOLIN, the well-known Russian jeweler, who made many outstanding objects for members of the Russian Imperial family, as well as for other important personages. In the center is a large diamond surrounded by four smaller ones. At the top is set a star cabochon-cut ruby of unusual color, while on the other three points are large cabochon-cut star sapphires. Bordering the piece on both sides, are finely chased gold ropes.
