Transcription: [double-headed eagle] #509 Very fine parasol handle of amethyst, carved with a spiral design. Gold mounting and two rows of diamonds. Enameled in a lovely shade of translucent pink in a woven effect. It is the creation of the famous Russian artist “Carl Faberge”, court jeweler to the Czar of Russia. He was often referred to as the Cellini of the 19th century because of his unusually fine craftsmanship. Originally in the collection of the Czarina Alexandra Feodorovna, wife of Nicholas II, the late Czar of Russia. $200.00
